BROMYARD residents joined the celebration as ribbon was cut to formally open the town's newly refurbished leisure centre.
The Bromyard Centre has now doubled in size and boasts a new fitness suite with a greater variety of equipment.
It is the latest project for Halo Leisure and Herefordshire Council which are spending £9million upgrading centres across the county in a bid to take leisure provision into the next decade.
Members of the centre, staff, MPs and councillors all gathered to officially cut the ribbon.
The centre now also has a bigger free weights workout area, natural lighting and improved air conditioning and easier access with the gym now at the front of the building.
