The Talbot - A traditional coaching inn offering a warm welcome to enthusiasts of good food since the late 14th Century...
Run by the Clift family for over twenty six years, The Talbot is managed by Annie. There is a strong
emphasis on organic and locally produced ingredients, (with the exception of fish delivered
from Cornwall and Wales) and traditional, seasonal and sometimes ancient recipes,
all re-worked with an imaginative flair and real emphasis on wholesome flavour.

In a peaceful setting on the River Teme in Worcestershire, they are easily reached by road and rail and they are also just an hour's drive from Birmingham International Airport. With well-appointed en-suite bedrooms, they offer a superb base for exploring the area.
Is fishing your thing? Well, seeing as The Talbot is situated on the bank of The Teme, it really is the place to go for a spot of fishing! The stretch of the river is famous for chub, barbel, roach, perch and even the occasional pike!
They have the fishing rights to both banks between the footbridge (just outside the front door!) and the bridge where the A44 crosses the river.
All visitors to The Talbot are welcome to purchase day permits at £6.00 per person to fish these waters. Or, to give yourself an even greater chance to catch a 20lb plus pike, why not go for a few nights dinner, bed and breakfast.
