Club Update

Somehow it's already nearing the middle of July, which means we're making rapid progress through our fixture list. We've enjoyed games against Grosvenor, Ledbury and Leominster since our last update, with the return fixture of Leominster later today (Sunday 12th) at 3.00pm.

We have to thank the hospitality of the aforementioned clubs, as when we visited them we were greeted with a warm welcome and enjoyed a wonderful game of bowls.

Our membership total is slowly rising, with a few new bowlers potentially joining for the remainder of the season. It's been said a few times already this season that new bowlers, or older ones, tend to find our artificial surface easier to bowl on - why not try it for yourself?

We play Aston Ingham later this month, they're situated on the Herefordshire/Gloucestershire border, but we'll have more news on their beautiful little club closer to the 25th July when we visit them.

In local Bromyard news, last weekend we enjoyed the annual Bromyard Gala, which included a parade of floats from local groups. The top three were:
3rd 'Despicable Beavers'
2nd The Guides with Titanic
1st Brockhampton Primary School with 101 Dalmatians
As always there was a lovely atmosphere with bowls club members milling around and some helping out with various organisations' stalls like the British Legion.

Overall it's been an enjoyable season so far with some great company, we're just looking forward to playing Leominter again this afternoon, and let's hope for a Bromyard win!
