It's also a time for reflection over the past 12 months, remembering some members who are sadly no longer with us; but we also think of all the happy memories that they shared with us during their time bowling at Bromyard. It's also a chance to look forward to the forthcoming season in the hope that the
club can continue to be an integral part of Bromyard and the surrounding area.
With the Crown and Sceptre being located towards the bottom of Bromyard, this enables us to look look up through the town at the wonderful illuminations whilst dining, and simply highlights the lovely community that Bromyard is blessed with. It seems appropriate to pay our respects to cricketer Phil Hughes who has sadly passed away today in a Sydney hospital. For those who don't know, on Tuesday he was struck on the neck by a cricket ball before collapsing. Despite St Vincent's Hospital's best efforts, Hughes never regained consciousness. The 25 year old had played for Worcestershire CCC in 2012, which of course is only a short drive from Bromyard.
He was just 3 days away from his 26th birthday.
We send his family, friends and fellow cricketers our sympathy is this understandably difficult time.
On a lighter note, we look forward to seeing our members on the 14th!
