We're having a successful season so far with quite a few new members but as always, if you'd like to join contact us or print off our subscription form.
Our fixtures are coming along nicely, and we're thoroughly enjoying each and every one. I don't have the results to each one in hand, but if I recall correctly each and every match has been close with Bromyard pipping opposing teams to the post on numerous occasions.
We've had a lot of work done in and around the club this season: The back wall of the changing rooms has been replaced courteously by Clive Richards' work men, with new windows also fitted. As well as this, the dead oak tree has had work taken out on it to make sure there are no branches in danger of falling onto the green.
Going further afield from the club itself, Bromyard has also had a successful year. The Scarecrow Festival draws visitors from all corners of the country because it is somewhat an unusual event.
Also successful this year was the Gala. After last year's catastrophe, it was essential that this year was a bumper year. The weather couldn't be better and visitors were drawn to the Birchyfields show ground in awe as they witnessed the likes of classical cars, vintage tractors and a collection of traction engines. As far as I'm aware, the Gala's organisers are still looking for a new site, if you can suggest something, visit their website.
We can't forget Bromyard's very own festival either! Nozstock attracts visitors young and old and is quite literally suitable for everyone. There's different stages with a variety of music, Little Woodland Kids Area, vintage tractors and a bullpen. Nozstock is very successful but doesn't want to expand as the organisers feel they would lose the individuality the event currently has.
We hope the second half of this year is as successful as the first!
